doglets: (kato smile)

Kato didn’t receive the memo about having mast cell cancer. She is aware of an interesting raw furless patch on her leg. The stitches and staples are all out due to playing rather than fiddling. Kato is currently very playful.

With this tumour removed Kato is not suffering an overload of histamine. Any leftover histamine is being dealt with by tablets with added bonus of getting a good nights sleep. I have spent the last 2/3 years sat on the doorstep at 4am because one dog or other unable to settle.

We know the cancer is still there and will come back. Mostly though we can do happy.

I really should finish all those half written LJ entries about Kato if only for myself later.

doglets: (sleep)

Middle sized dog smells of happy,  her fur has that  fluffy rained on texture. She hasn't actually woken up properly since we got back, (except to eat) - her adventures will remain her sweet, secret canine memories that are making her smile as she sleeps (and parps).

I love to see her in this mood - so relaxed, so at peace with herself and everyone round her (except That Abe). Considering the mixed up clumsy dog she once was, burdened with all her psychological baggage - (just one little baggage left with That Abe written on the label) When I wake her, she just stretches and does a purry sound, grins at me like an old drunk (I love yer) and straight back to her slumber.

Java went to Gromit with her Walllace over Xmas so took her presents with her. Pleased with the box of Dog-o-Chocs but less pleased (initially) with her big present - until she realised its usefulness whilst going to the Poo Tree on Lindisfarne over New Year. Her Wallace thought we had bought her a Santa Paws outfit.........
